Crossfit’s philosophy is that “if you have a body you are an athlete” is wonderful. With this website I’m hoping to share with people the benefits of fitness that Crossfit has helped make accessible to me. What makes Crossfit interesting to me as compared to other types of exercise?
First, the intensity it demands.
Second, the objective way it has created to measure results and progress. It’s really all about creating a competition with oneself to improve against the last time you attempted the same objective.
Finally, the community aspect of Crossfit is encouraging. Having your peers cheer you on and push you to succeed is a terrific motivator and makes the workout more enjoyable. The vibe in CrossFit gyms is always very positive, and in many ways, that energy helps you keep coming back when you know the workout is going to be hard.
